Refinery would also pay minimum $ 10 million in future years.

Valero purchased the 235.000 barrel per day refinery in 2004. The company inherited a tax holiday from certain taxes that was supposed to last through 2010.

dive in for the new year

Dutch tradition; the first of January 2010 at 12 noon at Moomba Beach, approx. 300 people dove into the ocean for the New Years Dive. Lots of trainees from the Netherlands joined.

Usually in their cold country around 25.000 people dive into the freezing cold sea, so to enjoy the nice temperatures on a tropical island, is a blessing.

There was free Dutch pea soup, Santa hats & live dj's. Each year this event returns to Aruba, and each year it gets busier. see you there next year?
