Get exercise and contribute to a good cause by taking part in the Annual Donkey Walk-a-Thon.
Held for the sixth consecutive time this year, it will take place on Saturday, January 15, a week later than usual.
The 6-kilometer popular walk is held for runners as well as for people who like to take a leisurely stroll through the Aruban countryside in the company of a few donkeys and lots of enthusiastic inhabitants, visitors, tourists and friends of all ages.
The Walk-a-Thon traditionally starts at five o’clock in the afternoon at the Ayo Rock formation.
Participants can register starting at 4 pm; the fee is AWG. 10,– per person, including a small gift from the Donkey Sanctuary.
The entire proceeds of the walk go towards the donkeys, so this is a superb way to support the upkeep of the Aruban donkeys.
